The project involved replacing a 20,000 SF roof and installing solar systems on both this roof and an adjacent 10,800 SF roof. Over 600 480W panels were installed, along with a battery backup system, creating a photovoltaic power system with a total capacity of over 300kW. Once operational, the system was projected to produce over 300,000 kWh annually, saving the end user more than $2.2 million in energy costs over 25 years. DCBA met an aggressive turn-key schedule and overcame logistical challenges including working in occupied buildings, complex sequencing, and required project completion prior to winter.
