DCBA developed a two-phase recommissioning strategy for the Brain and Cognitive Science Complex in collaboration with controls and balancing subcontractors, starting with surveying controls and making minor repairs to various offices and laboratories. Phase 1 investigations revealed that 40% of the equipment, including AHUs, EAHUs, valves, VAVs, and RGDs, required significant repairs. DCBA completed the necessary repairs and modifications in Phase 2 within 11 weeks, coordinating access to occupied spaces throughout the process.
