This multi-phased renovation of an occupied chemistry laboratory building included the addition of a new instrumentation facility, as well as biology, chemistry, and optics labs. To support the renovation, MEP infrastructure upgrades were performed on the ground and basement levels while ensuring that the building’s daily activities were not disrupted. Through detailed coordination and creative problem-solving, DCBA enabled the continued use of active laser tables and other lab facilities, successfully constructing a premier high-tech lab with minimal impact on the research team’s ability to work.
